According to Mebratu, the number of people tested positive for the virus has reached 20 percent in a single day. Up to 2,000 people are diagnosed with the virus in a single day, he said.
He noted that there may be a large number of people who are infected, who do not show symptoms, who have not been tested, and given the limited capacity to diagnose, the number of people infected daily may be even higher.
