Arms seized from Khartoum by Ethiopian Airlines

It is untrue to say that “arms seized” from Khartoum by Ethiopian Airlines: Sudanese Ministry of Interior.

The Sudanese Ministry of Interior said it was "untrue" that "arms seized" by Ethiopian Airlines had entered Khartoum and that the customs clearance process had begun.

The ministry said the "weapons" seized by Sudanese customs officials were not illegal. The "weapons" seized by the authorities were arrived into Khartoum with their own licenses, according to the owner of the weapons, Wail Shemsedin.

Al-Ain News reported that the institute's lawyer, Sirajuddin Hamid, said the weapons had been smuggled in legally. Wail Shemsedin is an organization licensed to import and trade firearms for civilian use. Russia's arms manufacturer Klashnikov Concert works for Sudan, says lawyer Sirajuddin.
According to Sirajuddin's statement, the Ethiopian Airlines Flight Office in Moscow and Wail Shemseddin will be in 2019; They agreed to transport 73 cartons of 290 hunting ammunition from Khartoum Airport in Moscow to Khartoum.
However, the cartoons were transported on the same day and could not reach Khartoum.

Following this, Wail Shemsedin took the case to a court in Khartoum and sued Ethiopian Airlines."I want $ 250,000 in compensation," he said. Responding to a statement issued today by the Sudan News Agency (Sunnah), the airline said the cartoons, which it said had been handed over to them by appropriate agreement documents, had been detained by Ethiopian security forces for a long time in Addis Ababa. According to him, the cartoons were loaded into Khartoum on Saturday night with the permission of the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs. However, Sudanese customs officials said they suspected that all 73 cartoons, including night binoculars, had been smuggled in by al-Bashir's supporters. The Ethiopian embassy in Khartoum said the Sudanese authorities and the media have done so in an attempt to tarnish the image of Ethiopia and its proud airline.
The Ethiopian embassy in Khartoum said the move posed a threat to the Sudanese people and undermined the brotherly relations between the two countries.

In this regard, the embassy is ready to provide the necessary documents to the interested party. A late statement from the Sudanese Ministry of Interior stated that the "weapons" seized by customs officials had been brought to Khartoum without incident. The ministry also said that the rumors circulating on social media that Ethiopian Airlines had flown them to Khartoum without due process were "untrue." He also said that the proper customs clearance process has been started to hand over the assets to Wail Shemsedin, who has imported and is legally licensed.
