The US-led coalition fighting ISIS in Iraq says it has thwarted drone strikes on US military bases.

Twenty-two drone strikes were reported in 24 hours, and the US-led coalition said it had foiled both attacks.

The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said on Tuesday that two armed drones had been shot down as they approached a military base in the western province of Anbar.

He also said that the attempt failed. The Coalition for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said on Monday that two armed drones had been shot down near the US military base near Baghdad International Airport.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
