The Special Representative of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission (SRCC) for the Horn of Africa, former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo was in Mekelle, Tigray State yesterday, EFE Noticias reports. Obasanjo arrives in Mekelle, Tigray, to seek a peaceful solution to the conflict.
During their stay in Mekele, they had a discussion with Dr. Debretsion G. Michael and it was felt that the discussion was good.
TPLF spokesman Getachew Reda Olsengo confirmed that Obasanjo was in Mekelle. He said the trip was part of a mission to find a peaceful solution to the crisis.
He allege that a drone strike took place as soon as the plane he was on took off.It is worth noting that Olisengun Obasanjo, who is seeking a solution to the conflict in northern Ethiopia, has previously traveled to the Tigray region.
