Protests in Sudan continue today.

Today, thousands of Sudanese have taken to the streets to protest against the military regime. Witnesses say Sudanese security forces used tear gas to disperse protesters in the capital, Khartoum, in protest of the coup.

In addition to Khartoum, Sudanese protesters marched on Omdurman Square today, condemning the military coup. There were similar protests in other cities, including Port Sudan, the Associated Press reported. Sudan's political crisis has worsened since Prime Minister Abdullah Hamdock announced his resignation earlier this week.
